I was told GM financial sent it out and my problem is with the post office and its out of their hands. The reply I received was a lot of official documents get sent not and are not sent certified mail. I voiced my displeasure about making the consumer jump through hoops for their failure and asked why they don't provide tracking numbers when mailing official documents. After five weeks I contacted GM financial to locate the title and was dismissed by three different individuals and was told I had to request a duplicate title through a third party company. I was informed it would take roughly four weeks to receive the title. History can be reviewed and if that is done you will see this was a simple error and was corrected upon finding it. This late payment hit to credit score is causing a serious hardship to my business. I understand that there are rules however I also understand that there are exceptions. Letters were sent to our home address but due to the fact that my husband was under the impression that the payments were being auto debited he never opened the letters. The first two payments were not paid on time. I did fail to make sure that he had set the payments up for auto pay through our business account. I sent a copy of the paper work to our Accountant, which is exactly what I have done with every vehicle. In September of 2022 we purchased a new vehicle and financed through GM Financial. They can't just keep an extra $4,100 it belongs to the bank, not even me, the bank. The two separate $2,000 payments paid off my settlement. I have already been in contact with my bank and they told me to call AGAIN and tell them to do a stop or cancel payment of the solid $4,100. Some how they just lost $4,100 which is insane to me that they can't see that payment. I need that canceled because I did in fact pay off my settlement.
